Each landscape is a state of soul.

My works often touch upon something that barely exists. I like to make use of prefabs – in these series a plant or a power station form, as well as the air of an industrial era that will no longer undergo major fluctuations play their role. Production plants in this part of the world  more and more often turn merely into an after-image of various branches of amputated realities. Phantoms – only these remain. The real disaster is not so much where the world is heading but how. In my view postindustrial objects resemble in their nature the individuals who aim at losing themselves in contemplation. Evenly, if not monotonously, they emit some kind of radiation, which resembles a low wailing sound. Landscapes with power plants – these are the places where power and tension are generated. The transformation of a place into a state of mind is of my permanent interest, in life and work alike. We are not safely settled in the world we wish to grasp (R. M. Rilke).

Każdy krajobraz jest stanem duszy

Moje prace dotyczą często czegoś, co prawie nie istnieje. Lubię używać prefabrykatów – w tym cyklu są nimi forma fabryki, elektrowni i aura epoki przemysłowej niepodlegającej już większym fluktuacjom. Zakłady pracy w tej części świata to coraz częściej jedynie powidok różnych gałęzi przemysłu amputowanych rzeczywistości. Pozostają fantomy. Bardziej to jak, niż dokąd świat zmierza, stanowi dla mnie katastrofę. Obiekty poindustrialne mają w moim odczuciu charakter zbliżony do jednostek, które za cel stawiają sobie pogrążenie się w kontemplacji. Równo, może nawet monotonnie, emitują pewien rodzaj promieniowania, które zbliża się do buczącego, niskiego dźwięku. Krajobrazy z elektrowniami – to tam powstaje energia i napięcie. Niezmiennie, w pracy i w życiu, interesuje mnie przemienianie miejsca w stan umysłu. Nie jesteśmy bezpiecznie zadomowieni w świecie, który chcemy zrozumieć (R. M. Rilke).
